From December to October vineyards are my office :)
In winter we start with soil preparation 👩🌾...
My work starts during the winter with soil preparation.
This job essentially aims to allow roots to spread out and become stronger and get all nutritional elements across the ground.
My vineyard are very stip, so hoe is our best friend!
...then pruning ✂️ ✂️ ✂️...
Then we contiinue with pruning the vines, usally in January.
Good pruning is essential for have a long-life vine.
Frankly speaking, it is also the job I prefer! 😅
... and Vineyard fixing! 🔧🔨🔩
Unfortunately, every year I have to mantain my vineyard, from changing
broken piles to replace new vines.
During the spring, let's cut the grass...🍀🍀🍀
If you became a winemaker, you will
develop a special feeling with every sort of weed.
Above all, if you do not use herbicide like me, you will share half of your life with them 😀 !
and treat! 💨 🌧️
Oh yes. If you want healthy grapes, you need to treat them!
Unfortunately there are several vine-related illness
you have to control and that is traduced as a big, big, very big job during the season!
In summer, we monitor and ... support! 🔍 📈 ❤️
Honestly, you never finish your work into the vineyard.
You could always doing better.
Nature is incredibly fast and incredibly strong... you cannot hope to dominate it, just support it.
And finally the grape-harvest comes! 🍇 🤲 💪
Finally, after one year of efforts, one year of hopes (remember, I work in an open office, below
the sky... hailstorms, frost, are always around the corner!), one year of hard job, we finally get the fruits of our work!
