This wine is made by 100% Nebbiolo, a grape variety with strong tannins and disticntive scent.
Grapes comes from all my vineyards in Monteu Roero (Occhetti) & Vezza d'Alba (Sanche)
Occhetti (Monteu Roero) is a South-exposed vineyard.
Sanche (Vezza d'Alba) are a South and South-west one.
Soil is very sandy
The grape-harvest is performed manually with the traditional 20 kg red-boxes.
Time is in late September or beginning October, depending on the Season.
Spontaneous fermentation in steel or concrete, traditional maceration with floating-cap for 15-18 days.
Malolattic fermentation in wood for the whole amount. About 10 months-aging in french oak vat
Large filtration technique
and low sulphur level
Ruby red colour with orange highlights with ageing.
Fresh bouquet with hints of fruit and flowers. Soft flavour, rightly tannic, persistent and well balanced.
Store the bottle in horizontal position and in a fresh room (below 20°C).
Serve it at 16-18 °C
Immediately valuable,
it can be cellared for over 5 years
